  • MMF / MotorMile Finance

    Hi Folks,

Looking for some advice here. I have received numerous threatening phone calls from MMF saying they were coming round and were 2 minutes away and to press 1 to callback etc. I have spoken to MMF who say I owe them £458 from an outstanding payday loan company, I stated that if the amount owed was mine I would pay but would have to be in £150 per month instalments on the basis they could send me the Credit Agreement authorising them to collect. They refused to send me anything saying they already had and also refused to accept my instalments saying they required the full amount in one go. I informed them via phone I would take no further action until the CCA was sent to me, I have also written to them via recorded delivery to a.) respond to my request for the CCA and respond to my instalments offer b.) stop the harassment calls and all contact to be via letter only. They have received both letters but if anything have upped the amount of calls and voicemails left on my parents answermachine which is panicking my mother.

Can anyone tell me how to proceed here?

    Hi and welcome to LB!

Sadly the usual CCA request you'd send for loans and credit cards wouldn't apply to short-term loans such as payday loans, you'd have agreed to their T&Cs by ticking a box when you applied online and wouldn't have been required to sign an agreement in the first place.

With regards to the phone calls, you may want to take a look at this:

Did you have a payday loan through MMF ? (just checking as I'm not sure it's clear in your first post)
