British Gas increased my direct debit from £63 to £103!

    I don't trust Energy companies..
    I know this is unsuitable for OP but when I was absolutely skidding along on the bones of me bum financially I found the PAYG meters so useful,,they paid the debt directly and I became very frugal with usage...lights got switched off..etcetc.
    & a decent stock of candles!

      I was brought up in the 60's (three days week etc) and I have a cupboard full of candles - always have had! My friends laugh at me because they say that I could light the whole village. Of course, come the blackout....

        Never did chase British Gas up about this. Despite them sending me a letter confirming my DD would go up to £103, they've only been taking £47. Don't understand them at all...
