My issue with FMOTL is that they want to pick and choose which bits of our society they accept and which ones they don't. I don't like paying council tax, I don't like my council and I don't think they justify the money that they extract from me each year. However, in a democratic, civilised society, we have to accept a majority decision on things, otherwise there would be anarchy at every step of the way.

How would someone feel if a disabled person couldn't park their car because a fmotl was parked there. How would you feel if a fmotl ran over a child and then stated that he wasn't insured because he didn't believe he should buy insurance. How would you feel if your road tax went up £10 because you had to subsidise all the fmotl who were driving round tax free?

Fmotl is an ideal that will never work in a democracy that 60 odd million live in. Fmotl want to cherry pick the benefits they receive. They want to give their names in order to obtain passports but don't want to give them when the police stop them. They are happy for all benefits councils provide, including health and education but expect others to pay for it. They are quite happy for the police to act on their oath but do not want to contribute to the maintaining a police force.

Fmotl may have idealistic values but the movement has been hijacked (certainly in the UK) by freeloaders and attention seeking drama queens.
Some interesting arguments that would make good further discussion points. If someone injured a child they would surely be lawfully liable, and nothing to do with their legal opinion on insurance. If the government allowed someone to get away with not paying tax, in any form, and made you subsidise it, they would surely be proving the tax is unlawful and that you are being conned? You would then follow suit, no?

It's not designed to let people get away with whatever they want, it's to protect people from tyranny. The point is we consent to this way of life (to be taxed or fined) and there is no lawful requirement for us to do so. If someone decides to exercise their lawful rights and another person doesn't, that's their choice and not a lot to do with a democratic society. Besides British democracy doesn't exist today, we live in the mere illusion of democracy.

I'm not advocating rejecting everything legal, nor am I promoting the freeman movement, I'm just iterating that the lawful concepts are real and they're intended to protect against the various authorities that govern us, from overstepping their mark. The Rule of Law and Constitution must always prevail otherwise it's a slippery slope to Communism.

I was issued a ticket by TNC despite having a valid ticket that had fallen from my windscreen, they have now increased the price and are threatening court action if i do nit pay within 7 days, does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? Othe general consensus seems to be that I just ignore these letters, is that right?

Don't ignore the letters, respond to them by aknwoleging having received them and include a photocopy of the ticket in question, if yo haven't got the ticket then payup as soon as possible to avoid the increase in costs.
The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.
