  • PPi - which company is liable?

I purchased my Taxi with The London Taxi Finance Company. They also set me up with a payment protection insurance. The company that takes my ppi payments from my bank are called Lloyds Black Horse. Which one of these 2 companies is liable for my reclaim? Kind Regards

    Hi and welcome Coys

The London Taxi Finance Company are the one's you pursue, as they were the company that set the whole loan up with PPI.

You only generally go to the insurer if you need to make a claim, for eg, sickness/unemployment etc.

However, if The london business are no longer active and were not FSA regulated when you taken out the account, the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) then normally suggest the insurer/underwriter avenue.

(Unless of course if the London business were FSA regulated when you taken out the account) and no longer active you then go the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS) avenue.

If they are still active though, do pursue your complaint with them (The london Taxi Finance company).

If you need help on the reclaiming, let us know, templates etc ;-)

    Good luck.
