  • Have you received a court date ?

If you have, however far away it seems, PLEASE start preparing your court bundle NOW !

DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE LAST MINUTE.

Abbey are pushing this later and later before settling and most claimant will HAVE to submit their court bundles BEFORE receiving settlement.

IT IS NOT A TEN MINUTE JOB.

    YOU WILL NEED
1 - All case law and statutes relating to your claim - there will be a standard minimum content bundle available in the Libray soon.
2 - all your correspondance between yourself and Abbey (excluding without prejudice communications)
3 - your statements and schedule of charges
4 - Any other back up info you want to rely on in court

YOU need THREE folders - identically completed and INDEXED.
one for you, one for the judge, and one for the defendant.

READ YOUR ORDER WITH THE DATE ON PROPERLY.

The judge may have asked you to supply witness statements, draft orders, case summarys, ask you to co-operate with the defendant on the Bundle. ETC.

IF you receive an order and you need help. PLEASE type it out IN FULL (excluding personal details) THIS makes it a LOT easier and quicker for others to point you in the right direction.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but it is a reality that many many cases are getting to the court steps now, and to retain the advantage you need to follow the judges order properly and in a timely fashion.
