Baliffs chasing 3 years council tax?

Help! I moved out of my house in Brentford, under London Borough of Hounslow in April 2010. I have had baliffs around saying I owe 3 years council tax! I was taken to court, and indeed had baliffs at my previous address until I paid. I paid in a mixture of cash and a friend paid one on her credit card. Having dealt with baliffs at my previous address I know they would have been round and seized my goods if I had not paid. The huge problem is I have kept no communication with regard to this. I know I would not have been allowed to get away with not paying 3 years council tax in the period of time, 12 years when I was at the address. Please help if you can. Regards, Fran

Have you had a breakdown of the Bailiff fees charged, if not use Letter 1 from http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...Useful-Letters

To find out what was actually owing. You need to speak to someone at the Council and ask the following questions:
1 - how many Liability Orders they have against you
2 - the dates they were obtained
3 - the addresses they were for
4 - the period of time each covers
5 - how much each one was for
6 - how much is still outstanding
7 - the dates they were passed on for enforcement
8 - the dates & amounts of any payments
