I have an old family issue that I have a bit of a problem understanding. It is way back but is important. I have a relative who was basically well off and he left all his effects to his sister who lived in the manor house next door. (They built one each in the late 1890s) Except she died 5 years before him naming him her successor. So He got everything, yet what happened to the everything after he died as the will clearly states he has left everything to the named person who is his sister. He had no children and his wife was dead. All he had was uncles and cousins who owned farms and land around the area. Would they have gotten the effects or not as the two manor houses plus other properties have passed out of family hands and one is now due for demolishment to make way for flats. We are not sure what happened to the wills execution etc. The probate was dated 1924 for him. and 1919 for her.
