  • Urgent Help please re Halifax Credit Card PPI reclaim

I recently got into a bit of financial difficulty and had to use a third party to negotiate various suitable credit card repayment plans (interest frozen) going forward.

In the meantime, on reviewing various statements I noticed that PPI payments had been applied for quite some years in which I could find no evidence or remember agreeing to. I proceeded to send various letters and payments requesting evidence of agreements.

I have now received a response fro the Halifax stating that details are still being collated but in the meantime there are warnings to be aware of if using a claims management company (in which I am not ?) issued by Ministry of Justice and CAB ?

It also quotes the following :-

"Businesses that mislead the public by claiming they can arrange for unpaid loans, credit card debts or debts to be written off have been told to stop or face action, as per new guidance by Ministry of Justice".

Has anybody received the same in my position ? Can anyone kindly advise if I should still pursue reclaim as I was only intending to offset any refund against my original debt ?

Sorry for long post but do not know what to do next
