  • Seized Items

A while ago I was present when a trading standards raid occured at the company i worked for.

Items (Computers etc) were seized from the premises in relation to the product we supplied and in addition my personal laptop which i used to answer customer emails and keep a todo list on. The laptop was my own personal property and was not supplied by the company - i chose to use it to make my job easier.

The case is nearly complete now and no evidence has been used in the case that has come from my laptop, nor was i charged with any offence.

Where do i stand on getting my laptop returned?

Trading Standards are extremely helpful. I would suggest you phone and speak to them direct - I think you'll be surprised quite how helpful they are.

No evidance will be released until the said case is closed or judged upon or aquitted, and it is usually 14 days afterwards
