Can't BT tell you who they received the notice of request to transfer from?

Re: Who is my telephone service provider ?

When I switched from BT to sky in March, BT wrote to me the following day confirming that they had received notice of an order to move to another phone company. They also gave a number to ring before the switch date, if I hadn't requested a move or if I'd changed my mind.

However as yours has already been switched your best option would be to ring BT and ask them to switch it back. I found this on the OFCOM website:

            http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/telephone/landswitch
What to do if you’re being ‘slammed’

            • Contact your current provider and get them to cancel the unwanted move.
            • If the service has already transferred, ask your original provider to transfer you back to them.
            • If you’re aware of the ‘new’ company involved and want to take the matter further, you should follow their official complaints procedure.
