  • pre action letter

I rented my home out 4 years ago when I moved into my boyfrinds house but he died 2 years ago suddenly. The house went to his children and I moved into rented property myself. I have now recovered from the ordeal and also my son has returned from uni, I have a daughter at home also. As the rented property I am in is 2 bedroomed I need my home back. I´ve served sction 21 on my tenant but she is refusing to move. I´ve been told I need to send a pre action letter befor going to court, which I dont really want to do.I am unsure if there is a form I can fill in or a letter and what content I need to put in the letter.

If she won't leave voluntarily following the section 21 notice then you have to go to court to enforce posession. I'm not sure if you need a further preaction or not though but this site LandlordZONE Property Forums will have much more experience in these issues and will have template letters you can use.
