  • bailiffs, please help

hi, could some1 please tell me what information a bailiff can access on me from the dvla, i recently bought a car on my sisters behalf, with her money,as i was buying it from a solicitor, i was forced to put my details on the reg doc as she wasnt present. i was told that as the form shows a keeper rather than an owner it doesnt matter. i am really worried now because the dvla has told me that they are issuing a reg doc in my name and to change it will take weeks. iv also since discovered that i am to be pursued by bailiffs.can the bailiffs find out from dvla that a car is reg in my name and can they then go on to find it(with the help of the police?)and seize it?even though it isnt mine?. any info would be really appreciated

    Re: bailiffs, plese help

Vehicles are often the first item to be seized because they are easy pickings. However, if it is not yours and the bailiff contacts you regarding a levy on the car, just prove to them it is not yours.
