    Re: Insurance cancellation fee

I think most people are aware of the no claims issues and excess's with insurances and low value fixes quite often go cash rather than through insurers. (or is that just in my world?)

Many people do think like that; but there are those who are suspicious of everything and think everyone's pulling a fiddle.

        Re: Insurance cancellation fee

I guess the woman was suspicious as she has involved the insurance companies, the insurance company have written to tell her they are cancelling her insurance as she didn't send back the signed agreement. She will be insured until the 7th.
So no idea what the situation is now!
She has told them about the crash and they're going to contact her.
Can she just go ahead and pay cash if she wants?
Once someone has involved insurance companies do they have to be involved?

Btw I bought the car and originally she was going to be the named driver, but we found out it would be four hundred pounds a year cheaper for me to give her the car and her to insure herself!!!

          Re: Insurance cancellation fee

The insurance company are paying for the damage even though she cancelled the insurance. The cancellation is £290.

The bloody woman is now claiming 'whiplash'!!!
Straight after the accident she was fine, and two days later when she rang my daughter to say about the boot, she said she was fine!! Yet now, three weeks later she suddenly developes 'wiplash'.
She lives in another town or I would follow her with a camera,

Report her to the insurance company - they will check her out.
