    I've posted on the family thread update. I hadn't remembered you were not married.
    As far as property is concerned and establishing that you have any rights you would have to demonstrate that you believe you were promised a share of the property and that you acted to your detriment on the basis of that promise, or that you had contributed more than would be expected ie more than rent and bills contributions to the property. It doesn't have to be a financial contribution such as paying for considerable work to be done at the property, but you could have maybe done building works yourself for no remuneration. Things such as general repairs and decorating wouldn't be sufficient.
    I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.
