    Hi All
    recieved a letter today.Inland revenue chasing me for £2400 overpayment back in August 2016. The company was dissolved in October 2016 .Can Hmrc still chase the company for the money although it has been dissolved

    i could be far wrong here so please wait for someone who will know more about it but i thought if company was dissolved they could only take assetts that belong to the company and not the person. i could be far wrong so please take what i said with pinch of salt.

      They could be chasing a director who has not behaved correctly.

        i was the director my accounts we’re done by a qualified accountant .ive got nothing to hide can they come asking for money back after nearly 2 yrs of dissolving the company it’s took them that long to find out they have overpaid.Im ringing accountant and tax office on Monday just wanted some advice as to where I stand

          If you lose your make a claim against the accountant and their professional indemnity insurance.
