  • Employment Rights

    Hi All,
I'm currently working for a company through an agency. I have been with them (working for the same company) for just over two years. The company I work for use two other agencies to recruit staff as well as having people on contracts on their own.

My issue is that by employing staff through three different agencies as well as giving out their own contracts surely means that somewere along the line, people will be treated differently?

This has come up this week were somebody working through the same agency as myself has requested compassionate leave to attend their grandads funeral and they have been told that they either take it as a holiday or unpaid.
I appreciate that there is no law for companies to offer paid compassionate leave that being said, the company we are working for does. Is it right that one person would be entitled to paid compassionate leave because they have a contract with the company and others dont because we are with an agency?
I dont like the idea that I am potentially sat next to somebody who is entitled to better/different rules and regulations when we do exactly the same job. This is merely one example of people being treated differently.
I feel that maybe I should be reporting this but have no idea were to start. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
