Thanks I'll do that. Its such an odd feeling one minute your just doing your job trusting that so long as you do the right thing yoyr ok then suddenly its a them and me situation. And with each act of self protection (regardless of how necessary) an even deeper void opens up between me and my collegues. I hate this.

I know from personal experience how alienating it can feel when your line manager has a personal 'relationship' with their line manager , happened to me many years years ago however I was lucky enough that my line manager was professional enough to keep work and personal life separate.

I have also used ACAS in the past and to be perfectly honest I found their advice, although technically accurate was based in a somewhat rose tinted world- not the world multinational companies inhabit. I always had commitments and a salary that i just them and thus was never in a position to take the challenge further.

By the way, contrary to what someone may have suggested, I care deeply about other people but maybe I am pragmatic enough to realise that sometimes there is no 'easy' solution and we just have to live with it.

I really understand the dilemma you are in and how difficult it must be in.

If you are going to have a meeting next week with your manager and DM make sure it is on an informal basis since you have not yet made a formal grievance and that you make notes as best you can if you are not able to bring a colleague with you.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

          Thanks Warwick65
I get the impression that all advice /HR policy / employment law looks great on paper but add real people into the mix and your up the proverbial creek.
I feel its obvious you care ...why else take time out to offer imput on a forum.
          Many thanks
