  • Employing an Assitant Church Minister

Can any one advise if when looking for an Assistant Church Minister we need by law to advertise or can we headhunt?
    Thanks for any replies

    Hi and welcome.

There isn't any general duty for a position to be advertised, but you need to ensure you do not discriminate against any potential applicant

Whether or not the Church of England (which I assume is the organisation involved) has its own rules regarding this matter I don't know.

      Hi,

As well as avoiding (unfounded) allegations there can be really positive benefits from being open: even advertising that the Church is active and employs people!
