I have had my class 1 and 2 liscense revoked by DVLA. I was diagnosed with angina 6 weeks ago and told the doctor I smoked cannibus.* She advised me to stop as it's the same on my arterys as tobacco smoking. So I stopped as I want to live longer. Problem is the doctor had to mention that to DVLA when doing my report for angina. The DVLA sent me a medical form asking about cannibus use. I said in smoked 1 joint a night to help sleep and then they asked when did I first use cannibus which I replied some 27 years ago. Problem is I didn't go into detail so I guess DVLA thinks I smoke 1 jointly every night for last 27 years. When in reality I smoked and stopped for lengths of time in those years ( not constant ) also recently I was only smoking 1 joint at night when I had a stressful day to help me relax and to go to sleep . I don't drink alcohol only once a year on my birthday. I am not dependent on cannibus like they seem to think I am . DVLA say I can reapply for my class 1 ( car ) liscense after 6 months of my last use of cannibus as they think that's how long it will take for my dependence to wear off. Having angina and the doctor saying stop smoking cannibus and you will live longer is enough of a incentive to never do it again...* I need both my liscense for my job as I am a hgv driver. But I have been in the office for last 2 years and only used as a cover driver . I am also in the process of becoming a foster carer for my 2 grandsons who have been removed from there parents by social services , my partner doesn't have a liscense so it was down to me driving for the children's needs as well as for my job. Can any body help please

Re: Revoked liscense
You can write to DVLA if you disagree with the decision to stop you driving.

You must include:
- proof that you meet the required standards for driving (for example, a letter from your doctor or consultant)
- the reference number from the letter DVLA sent you
You can also appeal the decision if you contact your local magistrate’s courtwithin 6 months, or your local sheriff’s court in Scotland within 21 days.

Re: Revoked liscense
Thanks . I am going to try and see my doctor on Monday. I was wondering if anyone knew what chances I had of getting it over turned. As you can imagine I've been an emotional wreck since Friday night when I got home from work and received the letter.
