  • A fifth of grandparents hate their grandchildren's names, survey finds

From The Telegraph 13 SEPTEMBER 2017
The survey also asked about what grandparents said when they learned of their grandchild’s name.
Ten per cent of grandparents replied by asking “What?” while three per cent responded by laughing.

Tatler’s most recent list of the poshest baby names included Alfreda, Blanche an Czar-Czar for a girl and Aubyn, Barclay
    other banks are available.
    and Cassar for a boy.
This article made me think of Billy Connolly and Genghis McCann!

I am a hippy at heart, I picked Summer, River and Tamar.

Hubs gave them the Order of the 3 Fs (I don't Effing like them, thats not an effing name and you're not effing calling it that!)

So I picked Rosin (Rowsheen) Sinead and Mearead (Mahrayed) again the 3 Fs (I can't effing spell it, I can't effing say it you're not effing having it!)

So I ended up with Molly Glen and Matthew

        Zak and Kane = ordinary

Priya (because her older sisters all have names that sound similar)

My youngest's best mate is Carrick... we all call the kid Carrot!

Then there's Kale (aka Cabbage), and my personal favourites, twins named Bree and Chardonnay

If we took our cue from the Beckhams and called our children after the place of conception …well! There would be a few odd names out there. Having had a girly night discussing this topic I got a ‘Back of the chippy’ -shortened to Chippy, 2 Sofas, a Volvo, a Spare Room and…wait for it…a Skip.
I think I need to change my friends.

I wondered why 'Ford' is a popular American name.
