  • ZZPS/Wright Hassell texts

I had received a text from Zzps about 3 weeks ago which used my car reg as a reference and that I had to ring them regarding a matter. I had to google ZZPS to find out who they were. I have not had a parking ticket or any written documentation regarding a parking fine. I would like to point out that I moved in dec2016 but had my post forwarded until the end of March 2017.
Today I received a text from Wright Hassell stating I should contact them on a matter of urgency. Again I have had no written documentation. I have read many threads that state letters had been sent, I am aware that if they have sent them it may have gone to my old address. I am unaware of when I may have incurred a parking fine so I am reluctant to contact them on this matter.
I would have paid a fine if I had received any documentation but only the two vague texts.
anyone suggest the best course of action.

    thanks in advance!

      I have no idea.
The only two places I can think of is the dvla as i have recently updated my driving liscence but that has my address on. So I would have thought they would send a letter.
Or I once parked in my local town centre and downloaded, joined and paid for my parking via a car parking app. Never used it again.
      So I have no idea.
Do you think I should ring them or ignore, the text from wright Hassell that I got today had my name on it.

      So frustrating.

ZZPS are just debt collectors, so safe to ignore.

WH, although solicitors, also act as debt collectors.

If it were me I'd ignore both unless something more 'official' turns up.

I never answer an unknown number on my phone, texts are the same (I make a habit of blocking the numbers too)

I normally do and never answer the phone from an unknown number. But both of these have connections with fines or debt collection and have referenced my car. I just don't want to end up with a ccj without knowing and dealing with it.

If if I ring the number am I creating more problems for myself?

              Re: ZZPS/Wright Hassell texts

Personally I'd look up Wright Hassell's actual telephone number (rather than anything sent by text) and give them a ring direct to find out what this is.

                Re: ZZPS/Wright Hassell texts

I've just rang the number and the lady on the phone wanted me to confirm my postcode and first line of address. I refused and she would only tell me that it referred to a personal business matter. She did say the letter might have been sent to an old address I did not tell her I had moved in the last year.
Can you get a parking ticket without knowing i.e. Without the big yellow stickers plastered to your window?

                - - - Updated - - -

She also said she would remove my number from their contact list, so still do t know if it's a scam or I just won't hear about potential problems over the phone.
