    hi all.
the other day I received an email from asset collections and investigations saying that I had an old lending stream loan which was now assigned to them.
It was £360 and is now £960 due to charges and interest where I didn't pay it.
funny thing is I checked my credit report and lending streams in there but it's saying it was satisfied back in 2013.
I've asked asset collections to provide me with proof of claim as I'm not acknloging the apparent debt and they've responded saying that there contacting there client for it all and the accounts on hold till they get it.
I've also asked lending stream what's going on.
I sent them a screen shot of my credit file saying it was satisfied in 2013 and they've said they looked into it and it shouldn't of been and I never paid it and I need to contact asset and collections to do this.
any help here would be great.
    thank you.

The possible reason it shows as satisfied is that the account was sold - maybe to asset collections maybe someone else . When that happens the correct process is for LS to mark it as satisfied (or settled) and the new owner to take over reporting in their name , Some don't report to credit files

It happened to me when a loan was sold - it showed twice, once settled and once outstanding but with the same default date

yes I see what your saying but the only thing is it's always shown as lending stream. I knew who my other debt collectors were and I paid all off or had them write the debt off.
this is a new one to me. it's almost like they've written it off and then years later thought why have we done that.
at the time I had a vaste amount of payday loans and I fell in to the payday loan trap and couldn't get out of it.
so I'm wondering if I could flask the ombudsmen about irresponsible lending or at least try to get them to say that the charges are unfair.
I don't have a problem paying for my mistakes but I honestly thought I was satisfied.
