  • What hapoens after a doorstep collector calls despite a letter telling them not to

    Hi all
Started a new thread I'd like to know how anyone has dealt with a debt collection agency who comes to your home when you have specifically asked them not to in our case Resolvecall .
They turned up yesterday asked for my OH who wasn't in and thrust a card in my hand requesting he calls them immediately.
This is s disputed tax debt with HMRC currently with the adjudicator .
    Any help would be appreciated

You do not need to talk to them or accept anything as for stopping them calling unless its deemed harassment not a lot you can do

Nothing, basically. They show up and leave. You could complain to Resolvecall that they ignored your letter. Make a complaint to HMRC again about using debt collectors for a debt that is in adjudication.
