Hi all hopefully I can get some advice from yourselves .My ex wife sadly passed away when her flat was emptied we became aware she was in debit with credit cards and bank loans I contacted all the debits I had paperwork for and was told that we wouldn't here from them again. Unfortunately out of the blue the above firm have contacted my mother in law asking about her estate to say she is beside herself is an understatement, she left no will because she had been unemployed for a length of time and had been battling an illness. The only thing she had was a pension payment that paid for her funeral the remaining balance was left to her son who is himself autistic just really want to know the best way to deal with these people and what if any rights we have
    Thanks for any replies

    Hi Paul
i have just had the same problem with my late brother in law I just wrote them a letter explaining he did not leave a will nor did he have any estate and would they kindly close his accounts.
it just shows how much a low life those company's are they will try anything for money.
