  • Builder neglible.

    Hi

whilst digging the foundations for my extension the builder I employed damaged the framework of the sewer. The sewer was hidden by some patio steps and there were no marked up plans from the local water company indicating their location in my back garden. I did however show the builder the direction of flow of the sewage and drainage by lifting a man hole cover at the front of the house. The builder is now claiming extra costs to rectify. I am now going to call my insurance co to see what they think. Where do you think I stand legally.
