  • Victims of Porthleven Car Park

    Hi

I set up a facebook page titled https://www.facebook.com/Victims-of-...=page_internal last year following a bill for unpaid parking. I did not park in the car park, I did drive through the car park to take a look as it was a new car park that had only just opened to the public. It has been built by the Porthleven CIC using coastal funding. I did not realise they had outsourced the security of the car park to a corporation based in Liverpool as this was supposed to be a local initiative, criteria for funding included creating local employment!!! More than that, there was no mention of CCTV at the entrance to the car park, in fact there was no clear entrance or exit and no barriers either. I have ignored these bills and threatening letters but have now received a civil enforcement notice from the Business Centre. Could you please tell me if this is legal and if so what is the best course of action. I live less than 200yds from the car park, so why the hell would I park there anyway??!! Your urgent attention to this issue would be most gratefully appreciated x
