  • Cancelling a personal injury claim

Just after some advice me and my partner would involved in a traffic collision about two years ago my injury claim got paid in a few months but my partners didn't. We used different solicitors and hers have been shocking and have messed the claim up. We had just accepted it and we're going to leave it. Today they have called to say if we don't pursue the claim we will have to pay them £3000 costs. Is this correct ? I also think there could be a personal motive from the said solicitors as the owner of the company is the ex wife of a friend of mine. So feel we may not be getting a fair representation from them but this would be hard to prove. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
