  • Valuation before considering VT, showing my hand early?

    Hi all

I'm in the last year of a PCP deal and have been approached by the dealer to have my car valued with a view to trading it in - I think this would be on an early part-ex basis on a new car which I'm not really interested in rather than them wanting to take the vehicle off my hands early

I've done a bit over the mileage (not an excessive amount, but a few hundred's quid's worth of charges), just wondered if getting it valued and therefore revealing to them the excess mileage at this stage would hurt any attempt to VT the vehicle and not pay the excess mileage charge in the near future? I've read some posts in here that talk about the excess mileage charge being accrued after termination and not before, and whilst I think I understand what that means I just want to make sure I'm not going to shoot myself in the foot

Hope that makes sense - thanks for any help
