    I am having some dispute with a DCA over a the level of debt owing on account that was sold to them.

    Now I know that there is a debt owing I just dispute the amount for which I have asked them to prove, during one of many email the following statement was noted in their reply "I would advise any payments made are taken as acceptance of liability for the full balance.2

    Is there any truth in the above?

    not necessary I would suggest as if they issued a claim and you admit part of it you would state admit part not all, they are the pits some of these Mother of Thieves,
