  • Lowell - BW Legal wont accept suitable arrangement

received a letter from BWLegal a few days ago, its for a debt thats 5 and a half years old didnt even know i still had it until i signed up to check my credit file after receiving this letter. anyway they are threatening with a CCJ which i dont want for obvious reasons, i rang them and spoke to some one, they are telling me i HAVE to pay £238 per month to avoid a CCJ, I have looked over my outgoings and i dont have that sort of money spare, i told them this and that im willing to pay £100 per month, but they wont have it, they said if i pay £100 per month they will still issue a CCJ, from what ive read the debt is due to leave my credit file in 6 months ( 6 year old) so im guessing this is why they are perusing it now. is there anything i can do? i really dont see the point in setting an arrangement up that I will break as I simply dont have that kid of money, I work part time with a new baby and physically cant get that sort of spare money every month!

    What type of debt?

5.5 years old in what sense? Since last paid? Since the account was opened? Since it was defaulted?

If it is something like a credit card/loan/HP agreement, when was the account first taken out?

Has the SB clock restarted with the OPs offer of £100 a month?
