    Hello,

    i have recieved a letter from Restons Solictors on behalf of Cabot Financial stating that they are seeking immediate payment for a balance on the account. Which must be paid by 18th December 2 working days from receipt. But it does not say what this debt is for, only an amount.

    I I have tried to look at my credit file to find out what it is for. However there is no information except a new default account was set up last month, so it does not look like they have taken over an existing debt.

    I have recieved a letter from cabot on the same day dated the 2nd stating that it is a capital one credit card debt.

    How owe do I go about finding out what account this is for, and any relevant details as they are very vague, I am hesitant about ringing them as until I recieved further information stating the details of the debt, I do not want to confirm the debt.


    Any any help would be appreciated, and what steps are likely to be taken.

    I think you should contact Cabot Financial, instead of the solicitors and ask them about the details. May be the customer service wouldn't be much aware of your case and will share the details with you regarding your concerns.
