Ive received a letter from Wescot acting on behalf of EON, its says they have 'been instructed to collect the amount of £881 on their behalf' should I send them a prove it letter?

Is this for a current or previous address?

Hi Nemesis thank you for replying
yes I was a customer and it is for a previous address middle of last year
I think the final bill was around 300, they wanted it in full to which I stated I could only afford to pay them in instalments but because I wasn't with them in the new property they said no. either pay in full but if instalments is all I could afford then to make this arrangement with a debt agency. Months have passed and now I get a letter saying I owe £881
