Hi. I had a debt with Lowell from the mid 1990's, from Visa, due to my being diagnosed with chronic degenerative disability.I settled in court with a monthly payment, and made them stick to it, despite repeated harassing letters and phone calls! around 2005/2006 I got a letter saying they had sold my old debt on to another company, and to ignore further comunication from them.Eventually they agreed this as true, but despite this have started taking money out of my bank account, totally unsolicited. I have made numerous complaints over the years, including the one today, and am threatening them with the ombudsman. oh, and out of the blue the phone calls and etters started arriving. I have had nothing from anyone notifying me they have my old debts again, and as far as i can see they are stealing!
I am furious and frustrated.
anyone know how i can get these idiots to stop?

Lowell will have passed on your banking details when it offloaded your debt.
Who is now the owner of it please?

Is it Lowell or the " new " company taking payments? Who is contacting
you now?

This is subject to a court action so I'm afraid it wont easily.
