  • Callcredit file updates timeliness

    Hello,

Apologies if this should be placed in another thread. I understand my Callcredit file is updated monthly around the 10th of the month. I think I am going to be successful in having various records corrected.
My question is if the data is corrected by the CRAs including Callcredit at what stage would a search by a third party show the amendment? So if I have something corrected on the 20th of the month and a third party gets a copy of my Callcredit report will the amendment show from that time, or will it have to wait (as I do) until the 10th of the following month?

It's not very fair if it is only updated once a month and the entry is significant is it? As it could be argued its not displaying the accurate information when it has the accurate information, if you know what I mean?

    Callcredit or Noddle?

One the normal reports lenders send monthly updates, at whatever point in the month, and they appear immediately to anyone looking once through whatever QA they do. So if the lender sends any adjustment through with their scheduled monthly update, the correction/update would appear around the same time it does every month for the lender.

Lenders can also send 'rapid updates' on urgent issues which would show within 24hrs (in theory).

Noddle is a special case in what you see, as you just get a monthly snapshot and see no changes in between. Changes to the Callcredit database the snapshot it is generated from will still be happening as normal behind the scenes though, and it is from that any creditor checking your file will see their report.

Any site such as Noddle or Check my file that uses "2nd hand" data may be slower.
Call Credit is not as quick to update as Equifax or Experian, the agencies have to rely
on the data from creditors being reported, your files will show " date up dated"
" last up dated" varying slightly form agency to agency.

Noddle is Call Credits Free site, not always up to date as it uses
          the data 2nd hand.

Noddle does not use 2nd hand data. The reports are straight from the Callcredit database, and the company is part of CallCredit itself.

They are as up to date as the main CC database is on the time of each snapshot.

It is simply a monthly snapshot of the data on the database, rather than a continually updated report. The same as you would get if you ordered one statutory report on the same date each month, where you would get a snapshot each time there as well.

Identical data source. Identical information at any time a report is generated.

Noddle is simply a free snapshot of the callcredit database, where you get a refreshed update once per month instead of whenever you like.

Sorry to disagree having dealt with complaints about Noddle since its inception and Call Credit the number and frequency of complaints is considerable on both accuracy and updating.

Sorry have to disagree with you, as have used noddle since the beginning of the very 1st trial, and have seen and monitored the sync between the CC database/callcreditcheck and the statutory reports and the Noddle snapshots. Have also dealt with many people with complaints on Noddle, and invariably complaints about any slowness of updating is because they do not properly understand how the updating and snapshotting from the main database works.
