  • Demands for money that I don`t owe.

For months on end, I have been recieving threatening letters from a legal firm called Buchanan, Clark & Wells. they claim that I owe Scottish Power over £562. I`ve always paid for my gas & electricity with pre-payment card & key, so how could I possibly have racked up £562 in debts? Iv`e emailed both SP BCW on several occasions, but still the letters keep coming. Where do I go from here, & how can I get these people off my back once & for all?

You need to raise formal complaints with SP and GCW by signed for post not e-mail which is all to easily ignored.
A formal complaint requires the recipient (s) to fully investigate the complaint and respond after 56 days.
If no " positive " response is forthcoming then you can take the matter forward to the relevant regulator.
Find the CEO/MD of Scottish Power and address the complaint to him/her marked Private & Confidential.
