  • I Cant get public liability with my credit rating

My credit rating is pretty well shot at ( no its worse than that its dead!!)

Ive got one outstanding ccj and lots of defaulted agreements many of which are becoming statute barred over the next few months.

I have a very good reputation as a builder on the my builder website 22 references all 100% plus lots of other references for my work.
however I have closed 2 property companies that I used to have due to problems in the recession

I am now struggling to get public liability insurance.

No one seems to want to give it to me as soon as I declare the lost companies or my ccj they dont want to give cover.

I can pay premiums no problem

Where do I go from here??
    is there a specialist company?
Do I have to declare all information

I have no claims against me for bad work or disputes surrounding work
does anyone have any experience of this situation

    only me again

Difficult to suggest ways of overcoming you problems without seeing a full proposal.
Generally speaking a poor credit score may result in higher premiums (low credit scores linked to increased claims) or more commonly refusal of monthly premium terms.

Don't know where you have been looking for PL insurance, but I would suggest you try to find an insurance broker at Lloyds (that's not the bank!)
Google: lloyds insurance brokers uk public liability and find one close to you or use their online services
