  • Cabbot Change locks

I have just recently had my first dealings with cabbot. My situation is I have an incomplete house which I shared the mortgage with my then partner. The mortgage fell in arrears . I got a letter from cabbot last month to contact them. I did on 3 occasions and received no reply. I have an agency working for me to negotiate with the bank re-structure the mortgage to try and finish the house for me to move in but over Christmas cabbot I presume changed the locks in the house breaking two windows to gain entry. Any advice would be very welcome thanks.

The bank put the arrears onto cabbot who in turn treated it as an investment property not the family home and changed locks.

Have you had letters from Cabot prior to this?

May I suggest that IF you have no knowledge of any order for possession being award by a court you start the ball rolling with a formal complaint to Ken Stannard CEO Cabot Financial.
It seems from what you say Cabot is conducting itself in a very underhand manner.

When we were repossessed the process was from start to finish at least a dozen letters something wrong here!

When the house was finally taken a notice was stuck on the front window saying so and stating the legal position I see this on all the houses I know are repossessed.

Confused here, Is this your only property to change the locks they would haver to obtain some sort of Court order as they are saying if you send a Solicitors letter stating its an Asset? they might have lied in court to get an Order .

Im sure others will agree there is something wrong here you need to find out not sure if they have done this legally.
