  • Jacobs baliffs Help needed asap

Hi i am just wondering if anyone can give me some advice

My sister had a Jacobs officer saying he will remove goods if he does not receive payment tomorrow

she has asked for a few more days as she has her phone and my PC on gumtree trying to make the cash

and his reply was "plenty of time has been given and have been very fair and could of said 24hrs but gave you 4 weeks so payment is needed tomorrow as we agreed case will be refered to removel team"

He did give 4 weeks and payments have been made during this time but he has said £250 needs to be paid tomorrow

Any advice will be really appreciated

    Thank you

    Hi Warrenmjp, welcome to LB!

    A few questions:
1; what is the original debt?
2; has she let him in to her house before?
3; were the payments made as part or a payment plan?

It is unpaid council tax, just waiting on her reply to tell me when jacobs hot involved and as for the £700 he just randomly dropped it in conversation to her as in "oh BTW you have a 700 debt as well after we sort out his one ouy" he has not told her anything about it

She needs to ask the Council how many Liability orders there are against her, how much each one is for & when they were passed on for Enforcement? I assume him giving her time to pay means she received a Notice of Enforcement - this will have added £75, now that he has visited will have added an extra £235.
