  • HM Revenue and Customs debt management field force

    Hi,

due to not keeping up with my weekly instalment plan to pay an overdue tax bill I have had an HM Revenue debt officer call round. He has left a letter warning they will return to take my goods for auction.

    What can I do?

    thanks in advance

You need to negotiate with them. They have more powers than a common or garden Bailiff and will use them when necessary. They are usually firm but fair.
