    Looking to take action against a tradesman whom damaged my property but then defames me online via a defamatory comment.

    How do you take action and which Court for defamation?

    Unless both parties agree otherwise, defamation claims can only be heard in the High Court. Defamation claims are complicated and costly. Even if you win you may only recover 75% of your costs.

      Have you approached the website that he has posted the defamatory comments on to remove the posting ?
