Enforcement of old CCJ
Back in 2004 a bank obtained a CCJ against me for 17k. I paidsmall amount off until 2008 when I was informed the debt was being written offor words to that effect. Since 2008 I haven’t had any correspondence or contactin any form with regards to this debt.
What set the alarm bells ringing, I received phone call from Cabot a few weeks ago that Ireadily rang back and gave my name. They told me that it was a personal matterand they wouldn’t bother me again.
I am a property owner with equity, no charges were placed atthis time.
I am now worriedabout being chased for this old debt i.e. charging orders.
Advice would greatly be appreciated.
