  • Rights on flexible hours

Hi, I currently travel to work and back which amounts to 100 miles a day. I have now decided to get the train to save my car from giving up on me. I have formally asked if I can take 10 minutes from my lunch of 30 minutes and leave at 17:20 so I can catch a train that effectively makes the difference of me arriving home at 7pm as apposed to 8:30 pm I have commitments with collecting my kids from after all school clubs which is widely known. I have been refused under the grounds that there are too many emails to screen at this time, I finish at 17:30 and am requesting to leave at 17:20?.

My hours are Mon -Fri 9-17:30.

    can I appeal?
